Teamfight Tactics: Dragonlands Will Be on PBE on May 24th

Teamfight Tactics: Dragonlands Is Hitting PBE on May 24th

Teamfight Tactics: Dragonlands is the franchise’s next major set. It will be available for everyone to play on the Public Beta Environment for League of Legends on May 24th. The game’s seventh set will include the return of multiple gameplay mechanics that fans already know from previous sets. Examples of such are the Armory and the new Augments system.

Riot Games revealed the official name of the upcoming set to those who were watching the Teamfight Tactics Set Gizmos and Gadgets World Championship today. They confirmed during the reveal that the fan-favorite Hextech Augment system will make a comeback with “a few more draconic tricks in store that are sure to hatch excitement.”

Teamfight Tactics: Dragonlands will go live to the gaming community alongside Patch 12.11. Just as it is stated in the game’s title, it is heavily themed around the dragons featured within the League of Legends universe.

Fans of the game have already seen a part of Set 7 in the TFT Dev drop earlier this year. According to multiple reports, the lore of this upcoming set follows “clans who compete for power across various islands, each worshipping their own powerful ancient dragons locked behind the mysteries of dormant shrines.

They also shared a preview of one of the champions, Illaoi. Taking a look at the video, it looks like she will be a five-cost champion. The spell shown in the sneak peek seemed relatively similar to her ultimate ability in LoL.

Furthermore, the launch of Teamfight Tactics: Dragonlands also marks the game’s third birthday. With that said, fans are hopeful that the introduction of the new set brings some festive celebrations. Although it is hitting PBE on May 24th, the fact that it will launch alongside Patch 12.11 means its tentative official release will be on June 8th.
