Among Us VR Could Launch on December 13th
Among Us VR may release in December just shortly ahead of the holidays. Eagle-eyed fans spotted an update on the SteamDB website that seemed to list the game as due to launch in mid-December.
SteamDB is a website that tracks any changes that have been applied to the backend of Steam. The recently discovered change has Among Us VR fans thinking that the game could release on December 13th.
It is worth noting, however, that this release date for Among Us VR is not confirmed formally as of yet. With that said, it is best to take this information with some grain of salt. Plus, the SteamDB entry also clearly says “Steam API release date (may be wrong).” The date does not look like its a placeholder since those are oftentimes set for the first or the last day of the month.
The good news is that fans who have been clamoring for an Among Us VR game do not have to wait long. After all, Innersloth could either confirm or deny these speculations at Facebook’s Meta Quest Gaming Showcase that is taking place next week.
“One week! One Week!” Among Us VR devs wrote on social media. “Meta Quest Gaming Showcase emergency setting countdown celebration dance party!”
Among Us got a major update last November, adding quite a few more roles. Each of these new roles has their own set of unique abilities that somehow change how gamers play the colorful whodunnit game. The three new Crewmates are Engineer, Guardian Angel, and Scientist. Plus, there is also one new Impostor role, the Shapeshifter.
The Shapeshifter will let players disguise themselves by taking on the looks of any Crewmate of their choosing. This is a cunning way to escape detection.
