The Swansong Draws Near
A world where Vampires walk amongst humanity leads to some very secret societies. Today, Big Bad Wolf Studios released a new trailer that shows off the gameplay of their upcoming narrative RPG, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong. Additionally, a press release provides more details about the game. For instance, the release explains features unique to individual characters and info on the plot.Â
Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong takes place after secret assassins have attacked the Boston Camarilla. This Camarilla contains most of the Vampires in Boston. Three Vampires, the player characters, are trying to find out who is behind this. Each have unique skills and character sheets that players can put to use in different ways. For instance Leysha can Obfuscate to conceal her presence and Galeb can make puppets of people using domination.Â
Of course, the game involves investigation. This facet of gameplay will bring players to different locations, to solve puzzles, search for clues, and encounter a host of characters. Yet, the investigative mechanics are simply one part of the game. Players will encounter more mechanics as they play, and have to adopt strategies to achieve their goal. However, it is important to remember that you are a vampire. Using your powers to much will trigger a blood-hunger that will directly influence your actions.Â
The new gameplay trailer gives players a glimpse of many of the mechanics they will encounter in the game. Additionally, the reveal trailer also gives players the backstory of the game and art style.Â
