Fall Guys Rises Again
If you haven’t had a chance to get into Fall Guys yet, it might be time to change that. From February 12th to the 14th, Fall Guys multiplayer is having a free-to-play weekend on PlayStation consoles – and suggests that you could make it a date night thing.
A trailer dropped for the event not long ago, and you can watch the full thing below. The contents are what you’d expect from a free weekend event, with a slight Valentine’s Day flair.
It’s worth noting that the free event only applies to PlayStation users. No PlayStation Plus is needed to access it, but you still need the console. Users of other platforms will have to find a partner who owns a PlayStation console in order to join the festivities. And once the event ends, that’s it – you’ll have to buy the game yourself if you want to continue playing. But that aspect will apply in equal measure regardless of platform.
Fall Guys is a strong, colorful experience that’s just as fun to watch as it is to play. The game takes place in short tournaments, where you and a ton of other players will stumble your way through an onslaught of obstacles in order to be the last bean standing. Our own review gave it an excellent score, calling it “your new addiction“. It’s a delightful experience that’s shockingly appropriate as the sort of ‘let’s get together and chill for a few hours’ date experience that the trailer recommends.
