Marvel’s Avengers newest free expansion pack “War For Wakanda” will introduce Black Panther with a Wakanda-centric story, and is coming as a free update on August 17th to all existing owners of the core game.
The free update will also be adding a new story that will introduce two new main villains, a new type of enemies, a new environment, a new drop zone, new threat sector missions, and the Birnin Zana Outpost.
The main story of the new expansion will revolve around King T’Challa, otherwise known as the Black Panther. He is the ruler of Wakanda and has its devoted protector.
“Blindsided by a betrayal and the resulting tragedy, T’Challa finds it difficult to entrust his duty to anyone else, even his sister Shuri, while also confronting those who wish to do Wakanda harm. When arch-villain Klaw’s forces threaten Wakanda’s safety, T’Challa must take the fight right to them to defend everything and everyone he holds dear,” said Crystal Dynamics in a press release today.
Crystal Dynamics is expected to announce more info regarding the “War for Wakanda” in a new episode of their War Table live streams on their Twitch channel, on August 16th at 10 am PT and 1 pm ET.
Marvel’s Avengers is a live service game that revolves around our beloved Marve’s Avengers heroes, with a single-player campaign, and multiplayer co-op experience. The game’s story is one that evolves over time with continuous free updates. The game is available now on PC, PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
