Black Panther Game Announced Developed By Cliffhanger Games

Glory to Bast

Black Panther has been a red hot Marvel property for decades. In the last few years in particular, the comic book character has seen many portrayals. With appearances in the MCU films, the DLC character in Marvel’s Avengers, and in the upcoming Skydance New Media game, fans are seeing a lot of Wakanda.

EA announced this untitled Black Panther game today, as well as its studio Cliffhanger Games. Cliffhanger Games is said to be comprised of veteran developers who have worked on God of War, Halo Infinite, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, and more.

We don’t know a whole lot about this game from Marvel Games’ statement. They say it is a “third person, single-player” game, but other than that, we have to imagine. The press release does mention Wakanda as a central part of the game. This leads us to believe the game will largely take place in the utopian, futuristic nation.

Surely this information will be coming in due time, but we have to wonder about the scope of this game. The larger Marvel universe is impossible to ignore. Will this game connect to the Captain America/Black Panther game from Skydance New Media? How about the Iron Man game by EA Motive?

Last year, EA and Marvel announced a multi-game partnership, which this game is likely a part of. Are we looking at a gaming MCU? MGU? Only time will tell. We have no release window or supporting platforms at this time for the Black Panther Game.
