Gates of Oblivion Bring Romance to ESO
The upcoming expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online, Gates of Oblivion, will be changing up the MMO in many ways, including the addition of romance. The revamped companion system will allow ESO gamers to romance their favorite companions as they delve deeper into the hellish landscapes of Oblivion. Elder Scrolls Online: Gates of Oblivion is releasing later this year for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Google Stadia, PC, and through the extensive Xbox Game Pass Ultimate lineup.
Elder Scrolls Online: The Gates of Oblivion expansion will be set 800 years before the events of ES4: Oblivion and Bethesda recently revealed the upcoming chapter (Blackwood) where players once again take on the Daedric Prince of Destruction: Mehrunes Dagon. Blackwood alone will include over 30 hours of brand new content, including the revamped companion system and the addition of romance. ESO Gamers will be able to permanently bring along their favorite NPC when they aren’t grouping with too many players.
Fans of The Elder Scrolls series will be familiar with romancing their favorite companions in Skyrim, however, this system has never been added to ESO until the upcoming Gates of Oblivion expansion. The companion NPCs have their own storylines to complete in order to romance them, giving ESO fans an idea of who they’re getting involved with ahead of time. Companions will be added ahead of romance options, suggesting a Gates of Oblivion update will add tons more content to the MMORPG.
