Animal Crossing Is Getting the Hello Kitty Treatment

Nintendo recently confirmed the next update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which will introduce a carnival to the Nintendo Switch exclusive. Alongside the new Carnival comes a new peacock character known as Pavé who will bring players fun new things to do in February. Hello Kitty and Mario crossovers will also be joining New Horizons in March, with new amiibo cards unlocking new villagers and themed items. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available right now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be updated with the February content on January 28th, while the new amiibo cards won’t be in stores until March 26th. The cards will be available exclusively at Target in the United States, while retailers in other markets haven’t been fully confirmed. Pavé the peacock and his Carnival will release for New Horizons on February 15th, joining the plaza with confetti and the carnival spirit.

Pavé the peacock will task New Horizons villagers with collecting rainbow feathers that are scattered around the island in exchange for a fun new dance. These feathers are floating around majestically and players will need to collect them with their net in order to exchange them with Pavé. The Viva Festival Reaction Set will be added to Nook’s Cranny with the upcoming update, which can be purchased with Bells for a limited time, This set includes reactions such as Feelin’ It, Let’s Go, Viva and Confetti.

Festival clothing will soon be made available in New Horizons thanks to the February update, giving Animal Crossing fans tons of new clothes to express their carnival spirit with. New seasonal items will also be added to the game, giving fans of New Horizons plenty of new content to unlock.
