Stealthy Stronghold May Be Getting a Big Boss Fight
While Epic Games recently brought the Winter update to Fortnite, some leaks are suggesting a big upcoming boss fight in the new Chapter 2 Season 5 location: Stealthy Stronghold. According to data mining from known leaker Fort Tory, the folder for Stealthy Stronghold contains references to a nightmare as well as a file called “S15 Boss.” The Stealthy Stronghold includes several references to the well-known movie monster, Predator. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 is available for free right now on current and next-gen consoles, PC, Mac, and Android.
“There are files referencing a possible boss at Stealthy Strongholds. So whoever could this possible boss be? The Predator as some people theorize or someone else?” said Fort Tory on a recent Twitter post. “Stealthy Stronghold is called ‘Nightmare’ in the files and we have an S15Boss/LagerEventData_Nightmare.” Stealthy Stronghold was recently added to the Fortnite map with the release of Chapter 2 Season 5 and it’s an enclosed jungle area with multiple Predator references, including a truck turned generator that fans will be familiar with and a crashed helicopter that’s a dead giveaway.
Stealthy Stronghold also has an underground bunker area to it that references the Agency that has been tying into the plot of Fortnite for several seasons now. Jonesy has started a mission to recruit an army of bounty hunters for the Agency, including Halo’s Master Chief and God of War’s Kratos. Considering Predator is quite a bounty hunter themself, it will be interesting to see if Predator is added strictly as a boss battle or if a playable skin will also be added to the game similar to the Polar Peak monster.
