Pre-Purchase Kernel Hearts Right Now
Kernel Hearts is making a special appearance in Fortnite ahead of its September launch, with protagonist Fernet now available as an exclusive outfit for players who pre-purchase the game through the Epic Games Store. The promotion is part of the Epic Games Store’s program designed to help developers reach a wider audience through Fortnite. The collaboration also marks a notable milestone for Ephemera Games. With this, the Argentine studio becomes the first Latin American developer to participate in the program. Players who pre-purchase Kernel Hearts through the Epic Games Store using the same Epic account they use for Fortnite will receive the Fernet Outfit.
The offer will remain available through the game’s September 17 launch. After that, players will have another chance to grab the outfit, as it will arrive in the Fortnite Item Shop on September 26 at 8:00 PM ET.
Kernel Hearts itself combines action RPG combat with roguelike elements and optional multiplayer co-op. Players take on the role of members of the M.A.H.O.U. Unit as they climb the Tower of Babel and battle angelic creatures to save a world consumed by ashes.
The game launches on September 17, 2026, on PC and consoles. It will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
It’s a pretty interesting crossover, especially for players who want to jump into Kernel Hearts while picking up a unique Fortnite outfit along the way.
