Thor Is Joining Fortnite Chapter Two Season Four
The official Twitter account for Fortnite has been teasing more Marvel content coming to Epic Games’ battle royale for a while, but a recent image teasing Chapter Two Season Four confirmed it. Thor will be joining the fight in the upcoming season, and he’s expected to arrive on August 27th. The recently shared image included the Fortnite logo adorned by Marvel’s God of thunder, with the familiar Marvel comics logo beneath it. Fortnite is available right now for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Mobile, with Chapter Two Season Four expected next week.
After weeks of speculation, it isn’t a big shocker to see Thor arrive in Fortnite, but the teaser image shared by the official Fortnite Twitter account teases more than just one Marvel hero. Marvel has been a staple of Epic Games’ Fortnite since Thanos took over the battle royale with his Infinity Gauntlet around the release of Avengers: End Game. With Thor arriving in Fortnite next week, it’ll be interesting to see how long it takes Loki to join his brother from another mother. While Thor seems like a bit of a late addition to the battle royale, Aquaman was also added to the game well after the release of the Aquaman film.
Apple and Google continue to feud with Epic Games over its app store policies, but Fortnite continues to evolve regardless of the mobile platform getting a bit shafted as of late. The Epic Games Store is looking to transition to mobile but Apple is blocking them on iOS and it’s likely that Google will follow suit. Fortnite fans who just want to enjoy their favorite game through all the legal mess will have a lot to look forward to with more Marvel characters joining the fray in Chapter Two Season Four.
