Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time May Ship With Multiplayer Modes
According to the PlayStation Store page for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, the game will be including 2-4 player offline multiplayer. No multiplayer game modes have been confirmed as of now but it may include Crash Bash type mini-games or a co-op mode where gamers team up to complete more complex levels. While the rumors about microtransactions have been destroyed by Toys For Bob, these multiplayer elements may be how in-game cosmetics are showed off. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be releasing for PS4 and Xbox One on October 2nd, with no Nintendo Switch or next-gen versions confirmed as of now.
Activision recently confirmed the existence of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time after leaks confirmed the games existence, but they haven’t mentioned any specifics on the multiplayer modes. Considering it’s specifically stated to be offline multiplayer on the PlayStation Store page, it’s likely that it will be more cooperative than competitive. In the game’s trailer, Activision showcased multiple playable characters in Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time but none of the characters are shown going through a level together or competing against each other.
Activision has confirmed that gamers will be able to play as Crash, Coco and Doctor Neo Cortex throughout the game’s main storyline, with skin options teased for Crash and Coco. Considering the validity of the PlayStation Store, it’s likely that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will include some form of multiplayer, but since Activision and Toys For Bob haven’t confirmed it, the feature may be lost during the development process. The game will be including retro and modern game modes for veteran fans of the series to appreciate but for now, we’ll have to speculate on what the multiplayer offerings may be.
