World War 3 is Set to Relaunch After Backing of New Publisher

Everyone Will Have to Wait Patiently For Another Global Conflict

The studio behind World War 3 has announced that their game is going to experience both a relaunch and overhaul now that they have been backed by a new publisher. Farm 51 has entered a partnership with MY.GAMES. Farm 51 has been adamant that they will have direct creative control over what ends up in the final product whenever the reworked copy of the game is finally pushed out the door. While this might be a bit of a chaotic time for those who were looking forward to playing the finished version of this ambitious shooter, the developers seem confident that this is the right thing to do.

World War 3

World War 3 was an early access release that is very similar to other titles like Battlefield 3 and 4. However, due to the recent woes of Dice and the Battlefield franchise, fans of large scale combat and epic battles were starved for a game that could bring them back to what they wanted. World War 3 was by no means revolutionary, but it certainly brought a lot to the table and was a solid game with all things considered. In many ways, it was much more hardcore and offered a level of detail and realism that was not going to be found in any kind of triple-a title.

Farm 51 is hoping that their new publisher will bring them more stability and end up leading to a much more polished product when they do decide to leave early access and have World War 3 officially launch. Due to this setback, there is no clear timetable for when fans should expect a release date. Farm 51 has promised that more information is going to arrive later this year. Hopefully, they will be able to get the ball rolling before their community totally loses interest. World War 3 has been out since 2018.
