HBO is working on a series for The Last of Us and Chernobyl director Craig Mazin and it’s executive produced and written by Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann. “Neil Druckmann is without question the finest storyteller working in the video game medium, and The Last of Us is his magnum opus. Getting a chance to adapt this breathtaking work of art has been a dream of mine for years, and I’m so honored to do it in partnership with Neil, ” said Craig Mazin. Mazin also has experience with storytelling in his successful Chernobyl series so the mutual talent and admiration will likely help the upcoming HBO series flourish.
The Last of Us TV series will be produced by Sony Pictures Television in association with PlayStation Productions and it’s apparently the first of many PlayStation Productions. With this tease from PlayStation, we hope to see Little Big Planet and Twisted Metal series’ in the future.
