PEGI Has Rated Metro Redux for the Nintendo Switch
The Pan European Game Information, also known as PEGI, has officially rated Metro Redux for the Nintendo Switch which suggests an upcoming port for the hybrid console. Fittingly, the title has been rated with a recommended age of 18 due to violence, language, etc. Metro Redux is a collection bundle that includes remastered versions of the first two games of the series, Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. The bundle hasn’t received an official announcement for the Nintendo Switch but it’s likely that the next Nintendo Direct will feature it considering this PEGI rating. Currently, 4A Games’ Metro bundle is available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
With a Nintendo Direct likely coming in January or February, the Metro Redux bundle will probably be one of the featured ports considering the new PEGI rating. We aren’t surprised by the Mature (18) rating for the game as that’s how it’s rated across the board. This isn’t the first time Metro Redux has been rumored for the Nintendo Switch as certain retailers received a Switch listing for the game back in October 2019. Considering the Switch has received a plethora of ports, this bundle will be right at home if PEGI is to be believed.
Considering how well titles such as Doom and Wolfenstein run on the Nintendo Switch, the Metro Redux bundle probably won’t take too big of a graphical hit to be playable portably and docked with the TV. We really liked the atmosphere and gameplay of the Metro Redux collection and consider it one of the best shooters of the generation. Are you curious what else we thought about the bundle?
