Halo Infinite Will Rival Halo Reach in Customization
During a recent Halo Waypoint, Microsoft gave several details on the upcoming Halo sequel, including the fact that Infinite will rival Reach in customization. Specifically, the update said Halo Reach fans will be pleased with the new title and the customization levels in it. Halo Infinite follows the Master Chief’s story some time after Halo 5: Guardians’ conclusion and it will release for next-gen Xbox’s and all of the Xbox One family of consoles in Holiday 2020.
The famous Forge editing tool will be available in Halo Infinite and it will have undo & redo buttons, which is a first for the franchise. The new Halo title will also include splitscreen co-op, an opt-in flight program to introduce gamers to the game and all of the sweet armor customization that Halo Spartans crave. While the last time Halo Infinite was showcased was when it debuted the Discover Hope trailer at E3, the latest Halo Waypoint provided the details us Halo fans have been waiting for.
“There was nothing more memorable in 2019 than finally being able to announce that Halo Infinite will launch with Xbox Series X next holiday, as it feels like Halo is back where it belongs with Chief leading the way. The response to our E3 trailer and the reveal of Chief and the Pilot was phenomenal,” said Studio Head, Bonnie Ross during the Halo Waypoint. “I still watch the fan reaction videos when I need a pick-me-up! It’s hard not to look ahead to next year, knowing how much we have yet to show, but rest assured that 2020 is going to be the biggest year ever for the Halo franchise.”
