Borderlands 3 is the Most Successful Gearbox Game Yet

“Best Numbers in Gearbox History”

The CEO of Gearbox Randy Pitchford has come out and said that Borderlands 3 is doing great. The third installment of the Borderlands series just came out on the 13th and it already making waves. Despite being exclusive on Epic Games on PC, Borderlands 3 has twice as many players as Borderlands 2.

Borderlands: The Story so Far

Pitchford took to Twitter to say, “Fun Fact: On PC, the data is that the launch day peak concurrent players of Borderlands 3 is about *twice-as-high* as the all-time peak concurrent players of Borderlands 2. WOW! You guys are great!”

He seems excited.

Pitchford is, of course, talking about the PC numbers. Not console. The numbers on the PS4 and Xbox One are not totally clear at this moment. But based on all the hype and loyal fans the Borderlands series has generated over the years, it is safe to assume that the game is doing quite well for itself.

However, not everything is sunshine and rainbows for Borderlands 3. Many players on all platforms have reported a myriad of technical issues. On console, the slow framerate seems to be the leading problem. Whenever lots of enemies come into frame, the game slows down considerably. There is also a lot of connectivity dilemmas when it comes to split screenplay. Lots of players have either been unable to play together entirely or just lag continuity when they finally are able to connect.

These issues are expected to be ironed out due to patches within the next few weeks. It will be unlikely that these problems will plague the game for very long. If you are having issues with he game, then try heading over the Gearbox’s website. You’ll be able to find tons of troubleshooting threads that might be able to help you out with any problems you might be having.
