Nintendo Nindies Showcase Planned For August 19th

Nintendo Will Play A Role Gamescom Weekend by Releasing Nindies Information

During the first day at Gamescom, Nintendo will be releasing a video to showcase their indie games, similar to their last Nindies presentation in the spring. Nintendo estimates the indie world presentation will be twenty minutes long and will showcase several indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch. The indie world presentation starts at 6am PT/9am ET August 19th to see what new Nindies will be available on Switch soon. Nintendo fans will be able to watch the live stream on Nintendo’s website or come to COGconnected on August 19th to get caught up at any point in the day.

Nintendo Nindies

We enjoyed several of the Nintendo Switch Nindies since their release and are curious to see what NIntendo has left to announce. Nintendo really started these indie world showcases after the indie games started taking off on the eShop, quickly making the Nintendo Switch the best place to play games from gamers’ favorite independent studios. Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer was one of the key indie games highlighted in a Nindies showcase and was met with a strong reception and recently released a demo on the eShop. Cuphead  was announced during the last Nindies showcase, bringing the frustratingly difficult but adorably cute run-and-gun platformer from Xbox to Switch. There are several indie games that were announced during the Spring Nindies showcase that haven’t released yet and we’re looking forward to getting our hands on them. This is what we thought of Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer.

What are some of your favorite Nintendo Switch indie games on the eShop so far? Are there any indie games on PC, PS4 or Xbox One that you’d like to see moved over to the Nintendo Switch? let us know in the comments below!
