It’s Both Stylish and Functional
It’s common practice for AAA games to release a day one patch. Generally this is a way of making some last-minute fixes or addressing some brand new problems in time for the game’s release. For Sea of Thieves, their patch serves a slightly different purpose.
A Reddit user playing on the game’s New Zealand servers discovered the patch in one of the shops. Unlike other patches, which are enormous, unwieldy and inconvenient, this one fits snugly over any pirate’s left eye. How convenient! One can assume that this particular patch is a lot less than a gigabyte in size, as well.
Between all the Betas, previews and other video content we’ve seen, it looks like Sea of Thieves is going to be a pretty solid outing when it drops tomorrow. Expect to see a review up on our site real soon. I hope all of the patches come in such a fashionable format, honestly.
