Shawn Petraschuk (Executive Editor) – DJ Hero 2
Ok, I can already hear the laughs from everyone but I genuinely got a ton of enjoyment out of DJ Hero 2. As someone who grew up in the late 90s to early 2000s rave scene (am I dating myself here?) I have a huge appreciation for electronic music. Drum n’ bass, jungle, hard house and breaks were a staple of my youth and this game brought me nostalgia in waves. I could have lost all the trance but that’s just me. Having a second turntable this time around allowed me to get into playing against friends and just helped me enjoy it that much more.
Trevor Houston (Executive Editor) – Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas
I had always been a shooter fan but tactical shooters were never really my thing. That is until Rainbow Six came along. Rainbow Six Vegas was one of the few titles I played for the better part of a couple of years. A small group of us would consistently play every Friday night. Like clockwork we would call each other every Friday afternoon, “hey, you playing tonight”. And the answer would always be yes. Rainbow Six Vegas certainly isn’t my favorite last gen shooter but its ability to bring my friends and I together left a lasting impression I soon won’t forget.
