16 – Kirby: Planet Robobot (3DS)
Summary: Kirby in a sweet new mech-suit.

Platforming at its finest, Kirby: Planet Robobot has the Kirby charm we’ve all come to love. It’s got that cuteness overload but it’s also just a solid overall game. The levels are cleverly designed giving the ability to pilot air crafts turning it into a side scrolling shooter or, using the background to jump back and forth, opening up the environments. Planet Robobot’s biggest draw, of course, is the massive robot suit that Kirby uses to crush his enemies.
15 – Mirror’s Edge Catalyst (PS4, X1, PC)
Summary: Explore an open world using improved, cat-like parkour skills.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst serves as a prequel to the original Mirror’s Edge. It brings us to “The City of Glass” and while the first had a linear approach to the levels, Catalyst gives you full freedom to travel at your leisure. Being able to travel between areas is hardly boring from the various routes you discover and how you breeze through them in style. The combat should have been a bit more robust but fighting has never been the focus of Mirror’s Edge.
14 – The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Wii U)
Summary: An impressive remaster of a 10-year-old Zelda game.
Twilight Princess released on GameCube back in 2006. It was a phenomenal game then and it still holds up today with a little facelift for good measure. The major improvement in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is the graphical updates. Now there’re more high definitions textures added in and the frame-rate is much improved. It makes for a beautiful polishing of an old gem.
13 – Hitman (PS4, X1, PC)
Summary: Hitman is broken up into episodes but each one is jam-packed with variety.

Agent 47 has a story spread out over seven episodes and the first one released in March. While I’m not a fan of the episodic approach to delivering a game, what Hitman does, it does well. It provides interesting new levels for Agent 47 to blend into such as a fashion show, and also the option to complete a contract however you see fit. There are so many different ways to kill that it makes for boundless replay value.
