Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory – PS4, PS Vita – Jan 19
The sequel to 2015’s Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, Hacker’s Memory takes place in the same world where individuals can physically enter the internet. With over 300 Digimon to obtain, players will be able to utilize all of their favorites. With a very familiar but always intriguing setting, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory is sure to kick off 2018’s JRPG lineup with a bang. As an added bonus for the PS Vita faithful, the game will be released on the underappreciated handheld.
Lost Sphear – PC, PS4, Switch – Jan 23
From the developers of I Am Setsuna, Tokyo RPG Factory will be releasing its spiritual successor, Lost Sphear. The game focuses on Kanata, a young man who is seeking a way to save their town from the “White Fog”. While the story may seem cliched, we are confident that the developer has learned from their experiences with I Am Setsuna and will improve on every level with Lost Sphear.
Monster Hunter: World – PC, PS4, X1 – Jan 26
Releasing simultaneously worldwide, Monster Hunter: World brings the hunt back to home consoles with perhaps the biggest release of January 2018. This action RPG requires players to hunt a variety of monsters in different environments in order to improve their gear and continue hunting bigger and badder monsters. With fourteen different weapon types and the ability to play with others online, Monster Hunter: World is shaping up to be one of the biggest games of the franchise thus far. Unfortunately, PC players are still waiting for a release date, but we hope that the wait will be worth it.
