3. Ninja Gaiden 4 – October 21
Ninja Gaiden 4 is another long-awaited sequel. Its predecessor, Ninja Gaiden 3 came out in 2012, so it’s been thirteen years since we’ve had a proper Ninja Gaiden game. Fans are excited because Team Ninja teamed up with Platinum Games to develop Ninja Gaiden 4. The combination of devs is a third person action game fan’s dream come true. Although Ninja Gaiden 4 is a story sequel to Ninja Gaiden 3, it also follows the events of this year’s Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound 2D prequel. Any other month, Ninja Gaiden 4 would’ve been the top game on a list like the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in October 2025. Ninja Gaiden 4 will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
2. Pokémon Legends: Z-A – October 16
Nintendo finally finds itself with an entry on the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in October 2025 with Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Pokémon Legends: Z-A is the gameplay successor to Pokémon Legends: Arceus, as a third person action JRPG. But it’s a story sequel to the mainline Pokémon games Pokémon X and Y. Although Pokémon Legends: Z-A was developed as a Switch exclusive, there will also be a “Nintendo Switch 2 Edition” upgrade upon launch. There’s no denying the massive popularity of the Pokémon franchise, which makes Pokémon Legends: Z-A a contender for the top spot in the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in October 2025.
1. Ghost of Yōtei – October 2
Ghost of Yōtei is the sequel to 2020’s Ghost of Tsushima. It’s an open-world third person samurai action adventure game developed by Sucker Punch. Sucker Punch previously developed the inFamous games, so their releases have been massively important PlayStation exclusives for decades. COGconnected has already reviewed Ghost of Yōtei, and given it a perfect 100/100 score. Our reviewer called it “epitome of what Triple-A game developers should strive for”. Ghost of Yōtei is a PS5 exclusive. It’s the #1 game on the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in October 2025, a totally stacked month.
