3. Persona 3 Reload – February 2
Persona 3 Reload could end up being my favorite game ever. It’s a remake of Persona 3, which is the game that turned a small Shin Megami Tensei spin-off into its own massive series. And it’s the title that introduced social mechanics, time management, killer music, and drip for days. Persona 3 also has the series’ best story. Combine that with all of the modernizations and gameplay improvements people have grown to love from Persona 5, and Atlus has a recipe for legend! Persona 3 Reload is the first of the three games on Top 5 Video Games Arriving in February 2024 that could be the biggest release of the year. It will be available for everything except the Switch.
2. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League – February 2
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is actually Rocksteady’s newest game in the Arkham universe. It’s the first game developed by Rocksteady since Batman: Arkham Knight, but features open world shooter gameplay set in Metropolis. Players can play as Deadshot, Harley Quinn, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will feature Kevin Conroy’s final performance as Batman. He passed away in 2022 and has been voicing Batman since Batman: The Animated Series began in the early 90s. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
1. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth – February 29
The #1 game in the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in February 2024 is the Video Game Awards’ Most Anticipated game. It’s Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which is a remake of the middle third, of what is currently my favorite game of all time. Final Fantasy VII Remake stayed in Midgard, but Rebirth is going to hit the world map. Now is the time when fans get to find out how Square Enix is going to translate Final Fantasy VII’s open world in a modern game. If they nail it, this JRPG could be Game of the Year. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a PS5 exclusive.
