Top 5 Video Games Arriving in May 2024
May 2024 is definitely the start of a slower period for major video game releases in 2024. There are a lot of really awesome indie titles though, including a sequel to the most triple A indie game ever! Our runner-up this month is Rainbow Cotton, a brand new entry in the age old Cotton shoot ‘em up series. Note there could have been a lot of games in this runner-up position. Anyways, without further ado, the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in May 2024 are:
5. MultiVersus – May 28
MultiVersus is a platform fighting game, which is a genre I didn’t know officially existed until writing this article. “Platform fighting game” is a name given to Super Smash Brothers clones. What makes MultiVersus unique is that it’s free-to-play, and all the characters are based on Warner Brothers franchises. These include DC, Looney Tunes, Hanna Barbara, Adventure Time, Game of Thrones, Gremlins, The Iron Giant, Rick and Morty, Steven Universe, and Tom and Jerry. Madness. MultiVersus will be available for everything except the Switch.
4. System Shock – May 21
The System Shock remake is finally coming to consoles in May! System Shock is a classic PC adventure game. The original version has had a remastered port for a long time, but Nightdive Studios’ full remake has been in development since 2015. System Shock is the first of two remakes in the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in May 2024. It will also be available for everything except the Switch.
