Top 10 Games to Look Forward to from Now Until New Years

Gaming and the Remainder of 2018 โ€“ Start Saving Your Money

Here we are, the middle of August, and so far weโ€™ve had an absolutely stellar year so far for games. Games like Mario Tennis Aces, God of War, Detroit: Become Human, Monster Hunter: World, Far Cry 5, State of Decay 2, and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze are just some of the amazing games 2018 has delivered. Yet with only four months to go, we still have a boatload of must-play games on the way. Our friends at Press X To Podcast recently discussed their top ten picks for games arriving between now and year-end. Without further ado, letโ€™s take a deeper look at the top ten games to look forward to from now until New Years.

Spider-Man

Release Date: September 7, 2018
PlayStation 4 Exclusive
Itโ€™s been a while since weโ€™ve had a Spider-Man game worth playing. Heck, the last one I enjoyed was Spider-Man 2 on the GameCube. That looks like itโ€™s going to change with this new release from Insomniac Games. This Spider-Man adventure takes place years after his origin, so we have a more mature, combat-ready Spider-Man with tons of moves at his disposal. The game is apparently full of Spideyโ€™s sinister villains and offers a vast New York City to explore. This is a must-play for Spider-Man fans!

Red Dead Redemption 2

Release Date: October 26, 2018
Available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4
Developed by Rockstar Games, the creators of the still-selling-like-hotcakes Grand Theft Auto V comes the sequel to the best western game of all time, Red Dead Redemption. This sequel, which is actually a prequel, will place you in the cowboy boots of Arthur Morgan as he travels with his gang in a vast, open world filled with all manner of dangers. Saddle up, partner, Red Dead Redemption 2 looks like the real deal.

Hitman 2

Release Date: November 13, 2018
Available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC
Hitman 2 is a full, standalone title, without that silly episodic formula that plagued its predecessor (it will still feature some post-release DLC, but not nearly as awkward as the first games was). In fact, developer IO Interactive has had a lot more control, now that theyโ€™re no longer under the Square Enix umbrella, so I imagine weโ€™ll see a lot more of what made the classic Hitman games so great. All in all, Hitman 2 should be a solid return to form for Agent 47.
