The Big 5 – The Five Biggest Games of June 2016

The Big 5 for June 2016… Minus One Really Big Game

We’re back once again with our list of the biggest upcoming games of the month. Last month ‘The Big 5’ went really, REALLY big as we had one of the best months of the the year (and went way over our five game limit). Games on the list for May included Battleborn (REVIEW) facing off with fellow arena shooter Overwatch (REVIEW), the current gen debut of DOOM (REVIEW), the disappointing releases of Homefront: The Revolution (REVIEW) and TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan (REVIEW), and the long awaited return (and finale) of Nathan Drake in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (REVIEW). Not only that we gave special mention to Dead Island: Definitive Collection (REVIEW) and shone the Indie Spotlight on the PS4 release of Neverending Nightmares.

June is perhaps the biggest month of the year when it comes to gaming with E3 taking up a huge chunk of the spotlight. For gamers this can signify the beginning of the dreaded summer drought however, with most big releases winding down and the next batch of AAAs getting their chance to shine come September into October. This month was supposed to see the release of the much ballyhooed No Man’s Sky, but the game saw a delay hit (alongside some death threats) and was pushed forward into August. Have no fear though fellow twitchy fingers! June has the usual five games on the docket with a couple of extras in the Indie Spotlight, so let’s stop wasting time and get to it!

Now, after making a move into publishing, we can look forward to them bringing even more to the table and first up is The Fun Pimps’ 7 Days to Die.
