Doctor Who: The Edge of Time

Virtual Reality games are usually a hit or miss, and unfortunately, Doctor Who: The Edge of Time falls in the miss category. With a combination of dull puzzle solving and poor visuals, Doctor Who was unfortunately set up to fail. In our review, we state that “if you’ve always wanted to take the TARDIS for a spin, by all means check it out — but beyond that, temper your expectations.”

Narcos: Rise of the Cartels

Turning a movie into a video adaptation is always a challenge, and doing the same with a television show is obviously no easier. Narcos: Rise of the Cartels is actually a decent game at times, albeit one that no one was particularly clamoring for. Though the combat is at times fun, its repetitive gameplay loop and poor audio and visuals bring it down. In our review, we found that “it doesn’t do enough to make it a must-play but for fans of the show”.

Shenmue 3

Depending on your prior experience with Shenmue, your experience with Shenmue 3 will vary. Diehard fans of the original two titles may find exactly what they’re looking for, but those wanting to find out what they missed may have another thing coming to them. Simply put, this is a Shenmue game made in 2019, not a 2019 game made in the Shenmue world. In our review, we found that “Most of Shenmue 3’s story is meaningless filler that involves a (mostly) boring cast of characters and convoluted goose chases where Ryo goes after “thugs”.”
