Street Cleaning Simulator (PC)
Aid your city and clean up the streets, wiping out the scum of the earth. I’m not talking about Batman, I’m talking about Street Cleaning Simulator. This adrenaline pumping thrill ride captures the magic of driving a street sweeper and sweeping away dirt at painfully slow speeds. In all honesty, this game’s about as fun as watching grass grow.
I can completely understand the need for simulators that let you farm, become a surgeon, or a trucker — there are certain things that some of us will never try in real life. However, this simulation is flawed to no end, frustrating AI and lacking any type of soul whatsoever. If you want to make a sim, at least make it enjoyable or at the very least tolerable.
Grab a really strong coffe and brace yourselves for boredom!
I Am Bread (PC, PS4, IOS)
Follow a piece of bread on its journey to become toast. This physics based indy game is the definition of mindless fun. Controlling the bread is awkward and difficult, but that’s the point. Navigating the house is often treacherous with obstacles like dishes, hot stove tops and ants standing between you and that marvellous toaster. When you finally land in your destination, be prepared to eject yourself or face becoming burnt toast. They even go as far as grading the deliciousness of your toast at the end of each level. I’ll never look at bread the same way again after playing this.
Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker (SEGA)
This title brought the King of Pop to your Sega Genesis, showing off a slick set of dance moves to combat evil. You play Michael Jackson and dance your way through hordes of drug dealers, saving little children along the way — yeah, I’m not even going to go there. As for the game, it tends to get weirder as you save certain children and become a giant robot, shooting lasers out of your eyes, just like the movie Mikey made of the same name.
This wasn’t the only game to ever feature the gloved one but it certainly is his most awkward showing.
