Top 5 Nintendo Switch Games Dropping In 2022 (And 5 Games We Hope Make the Drop)
The Nintendo Switch has had an incredible run so far. It’s home to some of the greatest games of this generation, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and Splatoon 2. In addition, Nintendo has re-released some incredible Wii U games on the platform, such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Pikmin 3 Deluxe, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. Fortunately, the Nintendo Switch is showing zero signs of slowing down and will likely be around for another 2-3 years. And with a new year on the horizon, we figured we’d take a look at the top 5 games that will release on Nintendo Switch in 2022. While release dates can change due to a variety of circumstances, we’re pretty confident these five games are showing up. Then we’re going to list 5 games that we hope will make the 2022 drop. They’re longshots, but if they show up, there will be a lot of smiles on the faces of Nintendo Switch owners. Without further ado, let’s get this list going.
Top 5 Nintendo Switch Games Dropping in 2022
5) Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp
This reboot of the first two Advance Wars games was one of the biggest surprise announcements of 2021. Originally set to release in December 2021, this strategy gem will now release in the Spring of 2022. If this release is successful, maybe we’ll get more Advance Wars games on the Switch – or possibly a remaster of the brilliant, Advance Wars spiritual-successor, Battalion Wars, and its sequel.
4) Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope
The Ubisoft developed Mario + Rabbids franchise was a breakout hit when it was released. Fans loved seeing Mario & crew in a new setting, with new abilities and new enemies. It felt fresh and exciting. And we can’t wait to see what wild antics are in store with the sequel.
3) Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Kirby has had a few games released on the Nintendo Switch, but Kirby and the Forgotten Land will be the first 3D platforming adventure and it looks incredible. The idea of exploring a past civilization that looks almost… human. Such a neat idea. We wonder if any of Kirby’s past friends – or enemies – will show up.
2) Bayonetta 3
For fans of the Bayonetta franchise, there was a collective sigh of relief when the Bayonetta 3 gameplay trailer was finally released last month. This game has been in development for what seems like ages – but finally, it’s making its debut exclusively on Nintendo Switch in 2022.
1) Splatoon 3
Splatoon 3 looks to continue all the mayhem and madness we’ve come to expect from Splatoon games. What we do know is that it’ll come with a single-player campaign and its now-classic 4v4 multiplayer mode. We can’t wait to find out what more this anticipated title will bring fans.
