Nintendo Has Announced That Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp Has Been Delayed

Advance Wars is a strategic, tactical turn-based game that first launched first launched on Nintendo’s mobile devices such as the Game Boy Advanced and Nintendo DS. The game’s were lauded for its originality, challenging nature and just being damn fun. In Advance Wars, as the name suggests, players guide their tanks, soldiers and more across the battlefield to defeat their enemy. At Nintendo E3 Showcase this year, the company unveiled Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp for the Nintendo Switch, which is set to be a remaster of the original titles. The game was set to launch on Dec 3rd 2021, however today, the company announced that the game will now release in Spring 2022.

Via its official twitter, Nintendo of America stated, “Hello, troops! Advance Wars1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was set to launch on 12/3, will now release for Nintendo Switch in spring 2022. The game just needs a little more time for fine tuning. You’ll be battling with Andy & friends soon! Thanks for your patience.”

The remastered versions of the game offers an enticing solo campaign along with a fresh versus mode that allows up to four players to fight it out across various maps. Each map can be customized in different ways including funds per ally and fog of war.

In Advanced Wars, players control their army across various terrain and must use their wits to navigate different troops into battle, while ensuring that they manage the conditions of the battlefield.
