3 Up, 3 Down – The Best (And Worst) Games From September 2015

The Worst

Giana Sisters: Dream Runners (Multi-Platform)

Giana Sisters: Dream Runners tries hard to be a fun platform runner but it isn’t, at all. The clunky controls, combined with the fact nobody is playing this game, really dampens the entire experience. Not to mention the camera issues torpedoes any enjoyment you may be getting out of the game. This game should have spent more time in the oven as this half-baked disaster is one of the worst games from the past month.

Calvino Noir (iPhone/iPad and PC)

Our very own cynic (Lucas) said it best when he said “Calvino Noir butchers a great concept more than any other title I’ve played this year”. There really isn’t many positive things to say about Calvino Noir. The visuals are abysmal, the level design stinks, the voice acting is awful but the worst part is the almost $30.00 dollar price tag. $30 bucks, are you crazy?!? This game is in top contention to win our infamous toilet bowl award at the end of the year.

Clash (Xbox One)

It’s not all bad with Clash as this Xbox One game features a slick art style, solid soundtrack and some neat game physics. Yet its simplistic approach and lack of depth holds the experience back, in a big way. It’s yet another game in a long list of games that clearly could have benefited from more development time. Clash had plenty of potential but at the end of the day it fell short.
