The Worst
Harmonix Music VR

If there is anything Harmonix should get right it should be music games. They have a reputation for delivering terrific music based experiences so naturally Harmonix Music VR should be good, right? Wrong, it’s awful and stands as one of our lowest scored games from October 2016. The big problem with Music VR is that the game just doesn’t have a lot of substance. It’s gets old and dull far too quickly. Music VR feels like a game should have just been included as a tech demo rather than being released as a standalone game.
Syndrome

If you are going to release a horror game close to Halloween, it better be scary. Sure, it should provide a solid gamplay experience and a decent story helps too but above all else it should scare the bejeepers out of you. Syndrome didn’t do any of that and simply put there are better spooky games out there. If you haven’t played them already, Soma, System Shock, and even Dead Space all provide a better version of the sci-fi horror experience. And most of them come at a cheaper price.
Manuel Samuel

Painful, frustrating, and annoying are just a few words we used to describe Manuel Samuel. We just cannot recommend this game to anyone. It’s not entertaining, nor is it memorable. We hate to beat up on indie games but when they are so poorly executed we feel like we have no choice. Needless to say, stay away from Manuel Samuel as it closes out our worst of the month list.
