The Worst
Wolfenstein: Youngblood

Although the critics didn’t exactly massacre the latest in the Wolfenstein franchise, it also hasn’t exactly drawn the same level of support as previous titles. Wolfenstein: Youngblood strays from the usual in the series, bringing us two badass teenager Blazkowicz girls instead of BJ himself. Although the game very much feels like any other in the franchise, it seems to lack the same oomph we’ve seen from previous games and fails to play on the strengths that make the franchise so good. “Without the wacky hijinx and startlingly engaging story of The New Colossus, Youngblood is a good co-op shooter that will struggle to stand out from the crowd.”
Stranger Things 3: The Game

There is no denying that Stranger Things 3 is one of the most popular series on Netflix since its release. Of course it would usually make sense to want to dive into a game made in its likeness, right? Wrong. Fans of the show might hate seeing that Stranger Things 3: The Game finds its way into our list of the three worst games of July, but the disappointment alone earns its place here. BonusXP and Netflix try to work together to provide a game that’s fun for the fans but they end up with a bit of a disjointed experience instead. “It’s a serviceable beat-em-up that will appeal to the biggest fans of the show but will struggle to hold the attention of everyone else.”
SolSeraph

If you’ve been waiting for something to quench your thirst the same way that ActRaiser did way back almost 30 years ago, in 1990, then you may have been pretty excited about SolSeraph. SolSeraph tries to pay homage to the 16-bit classic however it ends up feeling much more like a copycat that’s simply lackluster. Whether you were a fan of ActRaiser on the SNES or you’ve never heard of the game, SolSeraph feels a little uninspired. It’s Metacritic average of 53 speaks for itself here. “If you hold ActRaiser dear to your heart, you may get offended at how much SolSeraph essentially remakes that wonderful game.”
