Final Fantasy XIV Is Finally Coming to Xbox Next Year

You Telling Me This Fantasy Is Finalized?

For a long time, Xbox platforms were in a Final Fantasy drought. The series hasn’t launched a new game on Xbox since Final Fantasy XV. That doesn’t sound like very long ago, but that was 2016. New hope for better partnership arises between Square Enix and Xbox as Final Fantasy XIV will be coming to Xbox in 2024.

More than three years ago, Xbox and Square Enix made a huge deal to bring Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy games to Xbox Game Pass. At the time, it was unfortunate that the MMO RPG would not also be coming to Xbox.

Yesterday, at Fan Fest 2023, Phil Spencer and Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida announced that Final Fantasy XIV would be coming to Xbox Series X|S. While it will not be available on Game Pass, the famous free trial will be available for Xbox players.

New players will be able to enjoy free access to the game, including A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, and Stormblood expansions. You will be able to play up to level 70 with no time restrictions either.

An open beta for Xbox Series X|S will be taking place during patch 6.5x, which is expected to launch in October. Final Fantasy XIV is available on PC, PS4, and PS5. The full release of the Xbox version is expected in Spring 2024.
