Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: 14 Fighters That Need To Be Included as DLC

10. Dante – Devil May Cry

As noted above, a guest character in a fighting game is a great way to promote your product. Dante appeared in PlayStation All Stars years back, but with a new game and new design on the way, the slick and sarcastic son of a demon would blend in quite well with the more mature roster of Smash Bros. like Corrin, Robin, Cloud, etc. There is a ton of potential here for Dante to appear in Smash and I would love to see the iconic red jacket make its way to the franchise.

9. Banjo-Kazooie – Banjo-Kazooie

With the announcement of Joker added to the roster through DLC fans immediately realized how open new characters could be. Since Rare is owned by Microsoft, it seems more than likely at least ONE exclusive Microsoft character will appear in Smash Bros, and the one so many have been clamoring for has to be Banjo-Kazooie. Previously a Nintendo title back on the N64, Banjo could easily function as a mix between Duck Hunt and a smaller version of DK. It’s a combination we didn’t know we would want and yet it would play fantastically well. Who wouldn’t want to see Banjo remastered with current gen graphics anyway?

8. Conker the Squirrel – Conker’s Bad Fur Day

In the same vein as Banjo-Kazooie, here is a character who grew up in the land of Nintendo but was soon bought by Microsoft. Clearly his more… adult oriented content wouldn’t make it to Smash, but a sarcastic squirrel with a helicopter tail, multiple costumes, and a frying pan for a weapon? This feels like a character built entirely for Smash, and who wouldn’t want to see Conker and Diddy on the same screen all these years later? Conker hasn’t been doing much for quite some time and bringing him back would be a huge nostalgic hit.

7. Spyro the Dragon – Spyro Reignited Trilogy

I’ve said it before – thousands of people have – and I will say it again: Give us Spyro in Smash! He is colorful, kid friendly, already has a moveset AND fully redesigned character model. He is an iconic part of gaming and again would be a massive nostalgic hit for sales. The Reignited Trilogy proves there is an immense love of Spyro, so why not cash in and bring the dragon to Smash? I’m sure he would love to knock all these sword-wielding warriors down a peg or two with a good headbash!

6. Dovahkiin – The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Everybody wants this, how could they not? Bethesda was one of the first studios to publicly endorse how fantastic the Switch would be by announcing that Skyrim would be ported to the handheld console. They have a great partnership with Nintendo and we all know Todd Howard wants to milk Skyrim for every last drop of mead it’s worth. The Dovahkiin model is used in all of the merchandise and box art anyway, it’s iconic. Each costume could be a swap between the various races of The Elder Scrolls as well as a Daedric Armor. He would most likely play similar to Link but have a few wonderful Shouts to supplement his combat.
