Things Are Looking Good for Fearwoods
The solo indie developer behind Fearwoods has shared a fresh update for the upcoming online co-op survival horror game, giving fans a better look at what to expect before launch. Alongside a refreshed Steam page, the update introduces a brand-new trailer, a collection of updated screenshots, and a detailed development roadmap, outlining the journey from the current demo to Early Access and the full release.
Set in a cursed forest, Fearwoods is built around cooperative survival. Here, players must rely on teamwork, careful exploration, and light to stay alive. As they search for clues and uncover the mystery surrounding Aveline, they’ll also have to survive the supernatural forces lurking in the darkness.
The newly released trailer offers a stronger glimpse at the game’s eerie atmosphere, tense co-op gameplay, and survival horror mechanics. Meanwhile, the updated screenshots highlight visual improvements that help bring the forest’s haunting environments to life.

The roadmap also provides a clear picture of the game’s planned evolution. The current demo features a partial map, basic enemy behavior, a small exploration area, and online co-op. Early Access will expand the experience with a full map, dynamic horror events, and improved AI. There will also be a larger world and additional story content. The full release will introduce three chapters spread across three maps, advanced enemy behaviors, reality distortions, chase sequences, ceiling crawling, and a complete narrative, along with a more polished online co-op experience.
It seems like Fearwoods will continue to grow with community feedback and ongoing improvements. Judging by this latest update, the project is steadily taking shape and is a must-wishlist title for fans of cooperative horror games.
