Let’s Turn Back Time in NBA the Run
Play by Play Studios has unveiled a brand-new trailer for the biggest update of NBA THE RUN, Wave One – 2000s Legends, which arrives on September 29, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The headline feature is the arrival of five legendary NBA Hall of Famers: Allen Iverson, Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, Kevin Garnett, and Dirk Nowitzki. Each player comes with a stylized design and signature moves inspired by their real-life playing styles. Players can unlock each legend for 5,000 in-game CRED or grab the complete bundle instantly for $9.99.
Beyond the new roster, the update also adds a wealth of free content for everyone. Fans can hit the brand-new Dyckman NYC court, switch to the new Drive Cam and Drive Flip Cam, perform fresh dunks and taunts, enjoy original and licensed music, and earn a championship belt for tournament victories.
The update also introduces Custom Matches, allowing friends to create private games with their own court and ruleset, alongside a new Practice Mode for sharpening skills against AI. Gameplay has also received several improvements, including new standing dunks, driving layups, advanced moves, player balancing, and goaltending adjustments.
Already featuring more than 36 NBA stars and streetball legends, NBA THE RUN continues to expand with new players, courts, and seasonal content.
