Arc System Works has released a brand-new trailer for Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow, offering a closer look at its upcoming tactical counter timeline RPG while officially opening digital pre-orders for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Players who pre-order or purchase the game early will receive several bonus rewards, including three extra character skins for protagonists Rena Hizuki and Soma Hoshigami. The bonus also unlocks Voidfall, a challenging extra battle mode featuring 16 high-difficulty encounters and exclusive rewards.
Set in a post-World Collapse version of Tokyo, Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow follows two protagonists whose stories intertwine as reality begins to unravel. Soma Hoshigami is a half-turned courier struggling to survive between humanity and monstrous Anomalies, while Rena Hizuki serves as an elite investigator in the Public Safety Anomaly Response Division. Together, they must stop the spread of the demonic drug Tiny True, uncover the truth behind mysterious Stigmas, and confront a dangerous cult threatening to destroy reality itself.
Combat centers around an innovative Timeline system, where players strategically chain red, blue, and yellow skills to counter enemy attacks while carefully managing cooldowns. The game also lets players switch between Soma and Rena during battle, combining their abilities to unleash powerful Buddy Counters, juggle enemies, and finish foes with cinematic Secret Arts after breaking their defenses.
Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow launches physically for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 in Europe on September 24, with a limited Deluxe Edition available exclusively through Red Art Games’ official online store.
