Unravel the Mystery in Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow
Arc System Works has officially confirmed the release date for Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow, a brand-new tactical RPG that made its debut during the latest Arc Showcase. The supernatural adventure will launch worldwide on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
Set in a Tokyo overrun by monsters and unexplained supernatural events, the game follows Soma Hoshigami, a young delivery driver whose life changes after a terrifying encounter with a mysterious creature. Transformed into a being that is half human and half monster, Soma finds himself under the care of Rena Hizuki, an investigator from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Public Anomalies Division. Together, the pair investigates bizarre incidents linked to a mysterious cult and a dangerous new drug known as “Tiny Truth,” all while trying to stop reality from falling apart.
Combat blends tactical RPG mechanics with stylish action, rewarding precise timing and smart decision-making. Players can adapt their abilities to counter enemy attacks, trigger devastating counterattacks, and use slow-motion mechanics to gain the upper hand in intense battles.
Those who pre-order or purchase the game early will receive three bonus costumes for Soma and Rena, along with access to Voidfall, a challenging mode featuring 16 difficult battles and exclusive rewards.
Alongside its digital release, physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch will be available across Europe. A Standard Edition will be sold through select retailers, while a Deluxe Edition, limited to just 500 copies per platform, will be offered exclusively through the official Red Art Games online store.
With its dark setting, intriguing story, and stylish tactical combat, Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow looks like one of Arc System Works’ most exciting new releases of 2026.
