Quench the Flames in OCTOPinbs
Firefighting meets deception in a chaotic new multiplayer experience, as OCTOPinbs gears up for its PC launch on May 11, 2026. Developed by tri-Ace and Lasengle, Inc., and published by Aniplex, the game made its latest appearance during INDIE Live Expo 2026.4.25, alongside a fresh trailer narrated by renowned voice actor Shigeru Chiba.
At its core, OCTOPinbs blends cooperative firefighting with social deduction. Players suit up as octopus firefighters, joining teams of three to ten to battle raging fires and save buildings from destruction. However, you cannot trust everyone in the team. Hidden among the crew are “Squid Artists,” deceptive saboteurs whose goal is to secretly fuel the chaos and push the fire gauge to its limit.
Firefighters must stay alert, identify suspicious behavior, and act quickly to expose these impostors. Once they catch them, they can send them to the Octojar and reveal their true identity. Meanwhile, players taking on the role of a Squid Artist can sabotage rescue efforts, switch between disguises, and create mayhem by accelerating the spread of flames.
“Since first revealing OCTOPinbs, the team has joyfully read fans’ excitement to call each other’s blazing bluffs,” said Aniplex. “We hope you look forward to fighting fires as OCTOs and sowing chaos as the trickster Pinbs (that’s Squid upside down and backwards, because even their names can’t be trusted!) next month.”
OCTOPinbs will launch on PC via Steam for $9.99, supporting multiple languages including English, Japanese, and more. With its mix of teamwork and betrayal, it looks set to deliver a lively party experience when it arrives next month.
