OCTOPinbs Sparks Social Deception Chaos on Steam in Q2 2026

Extinguish the Infernos in OCTOPinbs

OCTOPinbs, a firefighting social deduction game, has been officially revealed by co-developers tri-Ace and Lasengle, Inc., alongside publisher Aniplex. The announcement was made during The MIX Spring Game Showcase, confirming that the game is set to launch on PC via Steam in Spring 2026.

OCTOPinbs drops players into chaotic firefighting missions inside burning buildings. Teams of three to ten octopus firefighters rush into dangerous situations, working together to extinguish flames before the entire structure collapses. The action moves quickly, placing players directly in the middle of the blaze where coordination and quick decisions are essential.

Among the heroic crew hides a secret enemy known as the Artist. This mysterious squid is an arsonist who secretly starts fires for artistic satisfaction while pretending to help the team. Players can peek into nearby rooms to search for suspicious behavior and catch the culprit in the act. If discovered, the suspected Artist can be thrown into the Octojar to reveal their true identity. Some Artists, however, abandon stealth entirely and unleash destruction, turning the match into an intense player-versus-player battle.

Victory conditions differ depending on the role. Firefighters win by putting out the fires before everything burns down. The Artist wins by spreading enough destruction to overwhelm the building. Even after exposure, the conflict continues until time expires. The longer the Artist remains hidden, the more the Fire Gauge fills, making their attacks far stronger once revealed.

According to Aniplex, the game focuses on fast-paced action rather than lengthy discussions, making its social deduction mechanics easier for anyone to enjoy. OCTOPinbs will support multiple languages at launch, including English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Portuguese, German, Korean, Spanish, and French.
