Become a Smallfolk in Smalland: Survive the Wilds
Maximum Entertainment has announced that Smalland: Survive the Wilds will arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2026. The upcoming release will feature the full experience, including every major update that has already been introduced on other platforms.
In Smalland: Survive the Wilds, players enter the world as members of the Smallfolk, a tiny civilization struggling to survive in a vast and dangerous wilderness. In this miniature perspective, ordinary elements of nature transform into massive landscapes. Blades of grass tower overhead like forests, cracks in the road become deep caverns, and enormous trees rise like skyscrapers waiting to be explored. The game presents a large open world filled with distinct biomes and hidden locations that encourage exploration.
Survival plays a central role in the adventure. Players gather resources from the environment, refine materials, and craft tools, armor, and equipment needed to endure the harsh surroundings. Armor sets not only change the character’s appearance but also provide resistance against environmental threats and unlock useful abilities.
The wilderness is also home to many creatures that players can tame and ride. From nimble geckos to intimidating scorpions, these companions can assist with travel and exploration across the expansive world. Building is another important part of survival, allowing players to construct encampments either on the ground or high in the canopy. Claiming a Great Tree lets players design a portable base that can move between worlds.
Players can explore alone or team up with up to nine others in multiplayer. The Switch 2 version will also include post-launch additions such as guilds, stables, and the mysterious Underlands.
