Enjoy the Hot Spring in Hyke: Northern Light(s)
Aniplex Inc. and Akatsuki Games Inc. have revealed a new free update for HYKE: Northern Light(s), titled “A Witch’s Chill Time,” arriving on April 30. The update will launch on PC via Steam, as well as on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. The developers plan to bring the same content to Apple Arcade later this year.
To highlight the update, Aniplex has also released a new trailer that showcases the upcoming content and its lighter tone, while still maintaining the game’s signature pixel-style action. You can check it out for yourself right below.
The update introduces a brand-new story chapter, additional encounters, and fresh gameplay elements, all set in a unique hot spring environment. The story continues after the main campaign, where Hyke and her companions finally leave their intense battles behind. Aurora invites the group to a mysterious realm, where they discover a hot spring created for relaxation. However, Aurora accidentally loses the essential items needed to complete the experience. Hyke and her team take action and explore the realm to recover these missing items, turning the peaceful getaway into a new adventure.
HYKE: Northern Light(s) is currently available on Steam and Nintendo Switch for $27.99. Players can also grab the PlayStation 5 version at a discounted price of $20.71 until May 6. The game remains available on iOS through Apple Arcade.
With this update, the developers shift the focus toward exploration and relaxation while still delivering engaging gameplay, giving players a refreshing reason to return.
