Call of Duty Has a Terminator Crossover in the Works
Call of Duty may have a Terminator crossover for Vanguard and Warzone in the works. Activision teased the gaming public using the official CoD social media account. Fans of the franchise have been in a frenzy since then.
“Looks like some mercenaries scored an unusual haul,” devs wrote on social media. “Some precious metals shine brighter in the darkness, who can identify?”
According to multiple reports, the crossover is going to take place in Season 4: Mercenaries of Fortune. This will be live in both Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone starting June 22nd. Activision’s announcement came with an image that showed a pile of gold bars and a single silver one. Devs later revealed that it was made up of mimetic poly alloy.
Terminator fans are well aware that this is the liquid metal that Skynet used for their T-1000 models. This particular metal is capable of shape shifting and near perfect mimicry.
This Call of Duty and Terminator crossover will be the latest in a series of CoD movie crossovers. Just last year, John McClane and John Rambo joined Black Ops Cold War, Warzone, and the game’s mobile version as part of its Die Hard and Rambo expansions. Plus, Warzone’s Operation Monarch also featured King Kong and Godzilla in a time-limited feature last month.
Season 4 begins on June 22nd. However, fans are not expecting the big guy with the big guns to makae an appearance until a little later. Information surrounding this crossover is still scarce. However, if it is anything like the couple that came before it, the Terminator will most likely come as part of a skin bundle. This typically costs 2,400 CoD Points. These exclusive bundles usually offer Call of Duty players just about everything, from tracers packs to finishing moves.
