Starfield Devs Drew Inspiration From Spider-Man & Cyberpunk 2077
Starfield Lead Designer Emil Pagliarulo has confirmed to the gaming public that his team drew a lot of inspiration from other games that exist in the market today. He specifically cited Spider-Man and Cyberpunk 2077 as the games that inspired him the most.
The Starfield dev shared that he really likes to play games that make him shake his head in awe with their “crazy accomplishment.” “The newest Spider-Man games have been like that for me, or Cyberpunk,” he said. “There is always something that inspires or excites me.”
“To make a giant open-ended environment like Night City—that is no easy feat,” he added. “Seriously impressive.”
Starfield is due to launch on November 11th. This is just a little over half a year before Bethesda’s first new IP in more than two decades is released.
“Saying you are going to create the studio’s first new IP in 20 years is one thing,” he continued. “Actually pulling that off—that is a different story.”
Starfield devs are confident that there will be no delay regarding the game’s release. The game is far enough in its development process. At this point, systems have already been brought together. The vision that the studio had at the onset of production is now finally coming to fruition.
“It has been so awe-inspiring watching Starfield morph into this amazing game little by little and with us covering so much new ground,” Pagliarulo continued. “Players are going to lose their minds.”
The Starfield community has not really seen a massive amount of information regarding the upcoming RPG. However, Studio Head Todd Howard previously hinted that they can expect more big news about the title later this summer.
The game will launch for PC and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Like other first-party titles from Microsoft, it will launch day one on Xbox Game Pass. This suggests that it could reach more players than any other game from Bethesda, despite the fact that it is not coming to PlayStation.
