More Europeans Can Join Google Stadia Now
Google Stadia has rolled out into eight more European countries, including Austria and Switzerland. This brings the total of countries supported by the cloud streaming service from 14 to 22. Considering that only European countries are impacted here, the amount of continents that have Google Stadia remains the same. Celebrating their anniversary recently, Google Stadia continues to make announcements regarding the future of its cloud game streaming service. Immortals Fenyx Rising recently released for Google Stadia, and it’s also available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, and Switzerland are the latest European countries to offer Google Stadia with the recent rollout, with more to come in the future. Considering there are nearly two hundred countries in the world, it’s easy to see how Google Stadia can expand more with only 22 countries being currently supported, but it’s nice to see more Europeans get their hands on Google’s attempt at cloud game streaming. Amazon recently revealed its cloud game streaming service, but it’s only available in the US right now.
Google Stadia just recently celebrated its first anniversary with several announcements, including two free-to-play games (Destiny 2 and Super Bomberman R Online) and its plans to introduce an iOS version of Stadia delivered via mobile Safari in the coming weeks similar to how Microsoft intends to deliver Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Project xCloud to iOS devices in the future. Cyberpunk 2077 is the next big Google Stadia title and it’s coming to the service later this week.
