Hitman 3’s Newest Trailer Welcomes You to the World of Assassination

Travel the World and Kill Interesting People

The final game in the modern Hitman trilogy is almost here. Described as the ‘end of a journey’, Hitman 3 is pulling out all the stops to make sure Agent 47 goes out with a bang. Or a slice. Or a–what sound does a wrench to the face make? We guess we’ll find out soon. This trailer shows the game running smoothly in 4K at 60 fps. It’s not photorealistic, but its stylized graphics are still gorgeous in their own right. The video doesn’t just showcase in-engine footage, though–it also shows off new game mechanics, fresh opportunities, the return of beloved features from previous installments, and a general overview of how the game will play and what scenarios players are likely to encounter when the game launches. So yeah, it’s pretty cool, assuming you’re old enough to watch.

Hitman 3 presents a brand new camera that can open locks, which is awesome, and gives you the chance to analyze your performance with the return of post-mission Playstyles, which even more awesome. These Playstyles will be awarded based on how you complete each mission. But that’s just the beginning. On next-gen consoles, Hitman 3 will “support 4k visuals, 60 fps, HDR and faster loading times. The game will also bring refinements to interaction animation and AI, as well as Glacier’s crowd technology that will allow up to 300 NPC’s in a location at once.”

Now that’s a crowd a huge, bald assassin could get lost in. Players will also be able to import locations from the trilogy’s previous games, giving them more than 20 locations to stake out. Plus, Hitman 3 lets you replay missions from the older games with all of the improvements to rendering, animation, and AI intact. That makes Hitman 3 the number one place to play the whole trilogy. It’s even got VR support.
