The Outer Worlds Is No Longer Epic Games Store Exclusive
The Outer Worlds is officially leaving its Epic Games Store exclusivity and releasing for Steam on PC later this month. The detailed and expansive worlds of The Outer Worlds will be coming to Steam on October 23rd after a year of Epic Games Store exclusivity. The Epic Games Store continues to secure exclusive titles such as The Outer Worlds, causing flocks of PC gamers to swarm the new platform. The Outer Worlds is available right now for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC with Peril on Gorgon bringing loads of additional content to Obsidian’s latest RPG.
The Outer Worlds officially released in late-October 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and the Epic Games Store on PC. It was one of the Epic Games Store’s bigger exclusive titles, akin to Borderlands 3 and Control and Epic Games continues to secure quality exclusives and freebies for their PC platform. Apparently, The Outer Worlds has already exceeded the financial expectations set by Obsidian Entertainment’s publisher for The Outer Worlds, Take-Two’s Private Division label.
The Outer Worlds recently game to Nintendo Switch with significant visual downgrades, but Steam gamers won’t have to worry about a downgrade when it releases on the PC platform on October 23rd. It’ll be interesting to see how many more gamers discover The Outer Worlds now that it’s coming to Steam later this month due to how successful it was on the Epic Games Store and how much larger the Steam community is.
