Respawn Entertainment Has Damage Meters on a List
According to Apex Legends’ design director Jason McCord, damage meters will be coming to the free-to-play battle royale soon. Without confirming how the feature will be implemented, McCord confirmed that Respawn Entertainment has damage meters on a list of things to add to Apex Legends to improve the quality of the game. Apex Legends is available right now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with the most recently added Aftermarket Collection event joining today’s update.
“Jason I was wondering will you add a damage meter see how much damage you have in real-time for let’s say getting a damage badge it really sucks knowing that I needed 25 damage to get the 4K,” claimed a recent Twitter question to Jason McCord from an account known as KnownAsWins. Jason McCord simply responded with, “it’s on a list!” While we aren’t sure what to expect from Apex Legends damage meters, many other shooters have damage meters, allowing gamers to know how far their target is from death.
While the addition of damage meters will make it easier for Apex Legends gamers to track their enemies’ health, some fans of the battle royale are worried that these damage meters will make gamers play the game more safely. Crossplay has been added to Apex Legends sooner than damage meters, becoming available today as part of its Aftermarket Collection event. Fans of the game who are looking for damage meters to be added to the game to more accurately gauge their enemies’ health will delight in the fact that this UI improvement will be coming in the future according to Jason McCord.
